Day Twenty of LOCKDOWN!

Happy Easter! We enjoyed celebrating Jesus rising from the dead today, with lots of fun activities and, of course, chocolate!

They were delighted to receive some new breakfast bowls and chocolates from Bumble and Grandad

Mummy and Daddy gave everyone a homemade Easter egg filled with their favourites

They liked the inside more than the outside

Jory ate a few, but he's decided he's not too keen on chocolate

Mummy headed out to set up an Easter trail, then we joined up to do it

They had to find lots of letters to spell out an Easter related word

Hooray, she's found one!

Keeping tabs on all the letters we'd found

Lovely views and a nice sunny day again

They had to rearrange the letters to find the answer. It's one word. Any guesses? (Answer tomorrow)

Trying to figure it out

Jory's favourite puzzle

Tahlia works on her empty tomb craft

Zachary had fun with (Easter related) probability

The results

The front of the tomb

All finished! (the women and an angel are inside, but Jesus is gone!)

We played a game that's similar to 'duck duck goose', about a fox who wants to eat some Easter eggs

Each of them chose a colour

The fox shouted a colour and chased the person who had that colour egg

They loved the game, so we played it for quite a while

Next we played an egg hunt in which you had to find the egg that matched your card

Searching for his egg

Hidden egg

Checking it matches

Found it!

Tahlia wanted to reuse the letters for her own treasure hunt game

Hitting it hard

Jory goes in for the kill!

So close!

Finally the pinata burst open and out came some goodies!

Tasty treat meal for Easter Sunday:
pork fillet in balsamic butter with hasselback potatoes, slow cooked carrots and minted peas

A special dessert with an Easter theme: hot cross bun and butter pudding

It was time to open the final Resurrection egg, so with much anticipation, it was Ptolemy's turn...

That's right, Christ had risen from the dead and the tomb was empty! Happy Easter!
