Day Eighteen of LOCKDOWN!

It was lovely to have Daddy free to spend the day with us on Good Friday today.

Zachary enjoys a hot cross bun and fruit for his breakfast

The boys were excited to see Joe Wicks dressed as a frog today for their PE class

The kids loved Skyping their Uncle Bar in Vietnam this morning

Making cross silhouette pictures for Good Friday

Sticking it all together

Their finished pictures

Number challenges

Walking to the bottle bank

Putting it in for Daddy

Jory's favourite again

Making a cockerel for our 'Peter Denies Jesus' craft (Jesus correctly predicted that his friend Peter would say he didn't know him three times before the cock crowed)

"Cock-a-doodle-doo!"

We enjoyed a walk along the quay and fed the ducks on the way around

We didn't forget the social distancing rules!

As always, the birds were hungry

More food please!

At least half of them are looking

Leaning on a lamp

Trapped!

They were delighted to see a swan sat on its nest

Hard to resist

It's a very heavy seagull!

Showing off our pretty floral dresses today (so hot again!)

An M&M sorting activity with graph (browns won)

Jory's Friday socks!

We sang some hymns about the crucifixion (which we celebrate on Good Friday)

Tahlia's turn!

It was a piece of cloth to represent the linen cloth that Jesus' body was wrapped in after he died

We planned to get some traditional fish 'n' chips from the local takeaway, but unfortunately it took 2 hours to get them!

Massive queue; despite having to ring in advance to order, Daddy still had to wait an hour at the takeaway
(to be fair though, this isn't how the takeaway normally has to operate, and Good Friday is probably the busiest of the year)

All ready to eat at 7pm; unfortunately it was all a bit cold (except our homemade mushy peas) -better luck next year!
They all ate everything on their plates as they were very hungry!
