Day Thirty of LOCKDOWN!

Daddy had to go to the Opticians this morning and he also popped in to get some shopping

Looks like their van needs cleaning first!

The Opticians have more protective gear than the nurses

Heading out on our walk

Jory loves walking on the walls -it's like a playground to him

There were a few interesting things to see

Tahlia loved the colour of this car

They loved finding rainbows and teddy bears

A good way to get out of the house

Tahlia used stamps, then decorated the images; this time, with a Christmas theme!

One of our chilli plants has started to grow!

We had fun doing some more Viking activities this afternoon...

Painting to decorate the Viking brooches we started the other day

A Viking-style afternoon snack - with fruit, berries, nuts, dried fruit and yogurt (they called it skyr)

They all delved in and enjoyed it

We were particularly pleased that Jory tried a few new things; he ate several pieces of strawberry, apple and he even tried a walnut (he spat it out)

Next, we had a go at some Viking storytelling using the pictures for ideas

They all really liked adding their part to the story

They enjoyed a play outside in the sunshine too

Tahlia works on the finishing touches to her brooches

Their Viking costumes were complete!

They loved role-playing as Vikings once again

A scary woman Viking! Although the women probably weren't involved in raids, they did have quite a bit of freedom

Jory tells Mummy about McDonalds, Morrisons and Sainsburys; he's disappointed the McDonalds is closed (although we rarely go there anyway, we'd promised long ago to take them for their birthday, which unfortunately is this Saturday)
