Day Fifty Seven of LOCKDOWN!

Getting the kids more involved in undertaking chores has been good; although it takes longer and isn't necessarily done as well as it could be, it has been a help to Mummy and Daddy. This morning they took down and the sorted the dry washing (which is now the kids job) and helped with other bits and pieces.

Sending a postcard

Jory loves doing his puzzles

Our children's literature themes for today were Winnie the Pooh and The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

Reading a Winnie the Pooh story

We also watched the Winnie the Pooh Disney movie which they found quite funny

Since Winnie the Pooh loves hunny so much, we decided to make some Devonshire honey cake

They all loved the cake

We read The Very Hungry Caterpillar

We played The Very Hungry Caterpillar board game

Jory and Ptolemy had a go at The Very Hungry Caterpillar jigsaw

Finished!

We made our own paper chain hungry caterpillars

Tahlia decided it would be more fun to turn her caterpillar into handcuffs

Jory's masterpiece

Ptolemy draws on a nose and mouth
