What we've been up to...#4 - Zachary's Party

We have been enjoying a fairly relaxed week whilst Daddy has been completing his AQA marking before we head off on holiday to Butlins. Here we are on a trip to Haldon Forest Park with Bumble:

"We need to follow the green one!"

Lots of dens to hide in on the way

Pine cone collecting competition - who could find the largest
Even Little Beeb was helping

Stopping for a tasty packed lunch

Haldon has fantastic views

A little wooden house in the forest

Making number shapes out of twigs
We followed the insect trail (and Highway Rat trail). One of the tasks was to create your own bug using forest materials.
Zachary's spider

The Highway Rat trail was also a big hit

Making a nest
Here we are at our Honiton Home Ed group. The current theme is nature.

Guess that foraged ingredient in homemade cordials

Hiding in the pirate tent

Zachary and Ptolemy find the alphabet

Colouring and pebble stacking
Later in the week it was time to get ready for Zachary's (early) birthday party...

The jumping challenge - who can make it the furthest?

Jory dressed in his Chinese suit playing in the ball pool

Opening a present from Jack

Pass the parcel is always a must

Rosie's turn to open

The World Cup game - hunting for the flags of your group (Zachary is a big World Cup fan)

Musical statues

Tahlia's out!

Time for a yummy buffet

Back by popular request

Zachary loves numbers...and Smarties

Ellis loves cake

Two pretty princesses

Zachary and Tahlia have also recently started collecting items for their new treasure boxes.

Zachary particularly likes foreign/old coins; Tahlia likes anything else!
It was time to pack for our holiday to Butlins in Minehead.

An easy dinner the night before
