Day Sixty Three of LOCKDOWN!

Bumble and Grandad have sent us lots of good books recently, from Peppa Pig and princesses to Vikings and Sumerians. We enjoyed reading some of them today.
This Peppa Pig holiday book contained a few interesting props...

All ready for their holidays (which they probably won't be having this year...)

Jory loves playing with the letters. See if you can spot the two hidden words he has made (9 letters each)

We spent most of today catching up with chores. Zachary was especially helpful.

We're thinking of getting a hose, so the trundle wheel came in handy for measuring how long it needs to be

Ptolemy loves helping out too

Our first raspberry crop of the year

After spending lots of the day cleaning and tidying, we were pleased with how neat the house was looking and planned to head to the bike park. Then we suddenly realised it had gone quiet...

Whilst we were cleaning, the two youngest boys had been emptying out the contents of the drawers in the loft room and throwing it down the stairs, including the our entire Lego collection, books, clothes and party drawers. It took all of us almost an hour to put it all away.

Tahlia enjoyed her time alone with Daddy at the bike park (Zachary decided he didn't want to come).

Riding on Zachary's bike

Throw and catch

Wearing her new knee and elbow pads to help as she learns to ride

Day Sixty Two of LOCKDOWN!

Zachary enjoyed a game of Legendary with Daddy

Meanwhile, the others wanted another game of villain knockdown

Trying out bikes again

Tahlia wanted to play her own superhero version of musical chairs

Playing a different superhero game; here, they all had to run to the picture of Iron Man and pretend to be him

Jory found Spiderman!

The Green Goblin has stolen chocolate coins from the bank! Whenever he gets caught he drops some of his coins!

He's pretty quick though!

They finally caught the Green Goblin and tied him up. He won't be stealing any more chocolate coins for a while!

Boo!

We enjoyed a lovely walk around Stoke Woods

They all wanted a helping hand on the logs

Finding the way to go

Day Sixty One of LOCKDOWN!

We did exercise with Zachary this morning (Joe doesn't work at the weekends)

Playing a farm game

We had a special activity day today, with a superheroes theme...

Doing a superhero comprehension

Colouring some superhero masks

Very pleased with his finished mask (although he made Mummy do a lot of it!)

Iron Man is ready!

Playing the superheroes pairs game

Playing the Spiderman web blaster game

Making superhero slices

Making it red for superheroes

Looking forward to tasting it
We put in white chocolate and superhero coloured smarties, which unfortunately all spread out a bit, but they loved the taste

Practising for a superhero show

Owlette from PJ masks

Watching a classic Iron Man cartoon

Iron Man's brother

We had to navigate our way through Spiderman's web maze
Climbing through the maze...

Ptolemy shows he knows his villians!

Making superhero puppets

Finished his Iron Man puppet

Flash and Iron Man

We set up a throwing competition to knock down the villians

They all wanted multiple turns

Overstepping the line a little

Ptolemy loves superheroes and villians the most

For our final game, we played superhero music whilst they danced around. When the music stopped, they had to choose a villain to attack and stand on his picture. Daddy drew a villain card and whoever was standing on him was the winner!

Running around the room

All stopped on a different villain
